I'm not a girly  girl.
I don't need Valentine's Day to remind me that I love and am loved.
I don't care for pink.

But I have a load of fabric scraps from my alteration business, and I don't like throwing them out.

So this happened.

Oak Leaf

This was my first creative attempt and kept me sane during chemo at age 42. We would take rides out in the country, and I loved the look of sunlight dancing with the different colored leaves. I also loved how an overcast sky could enhance the trees' colors. So here it is. Was. Sometimes I call it Oak Leaf, other times I call it Burning Bush, but mostly it is about Celebration. Because I'm still here.
